At the conference venue

For the ease and convenience of staying on site at the conference venue, The Sebel Albert Park and adjacent Citigate Albert Park offer discounted rates for our delegates. Please note that a limited number of rooms have been put on hold so book early to secure your accommodation.

To obtain more detailed information about each hotel you can visit their web sites (click their logos at right) or download a fact sheet (PDF) from this link: Sebel and Citigate Albert Park Fact Sheet. However, do not make a direct reservation until you read all of the information below as there are special arrangements for this conference.

The Sebel and Citigate have put in place the following options for delegates to reserve accommodtaion. They contain details, including concessional room rates, which specifically apply for this conference.

On-line: An internet booking code has been created which can allow delegates to book the hotel directly by clicking one of these links:

When delegates click on the these links, they will be asked to enter their dates of arrival and departure then click OK to take them straight to the rooms and rates available exclusively for delegates. The date range set is between Saturday 30th April to Sunday 8th May. If you require dates outside this range, please contact the hotel before making your reservation.

This form will need to be completed and faxed to the hotel. Guests will receive confirmation within 48 hours of receipt. The form includes details of the facilities and concessional room rates.
Over the Phone: Delegates can contact our central reservations department on 13 15 15 and quote “Applied Genomics of Livestock Breeding“ with their dates of travel. They will be offered the discounted conference rates over the phone.

Delegates will be required to provide credit card details to secure their booking for each of these methods.

Deluxe Room ($159.00 per night for 1-2 people) queen sized bed with modern ensuite.
Junior Suite ($179.00 per night for 1-2 people) has a queen sized bed in main bedroom, with modern ensuite and sitting room.
Premier Room ($199.00 per night for 1-2 people). Newly refurbished rooms with queen sized bed, modern ensuite with large bush shower, DVD player, and bathrobes. Normally $359.00 per night.
Two Bedroom Apartment ($299.00 per night for 1-2 people). Newly refurbished with main bedroom with ensuite downstairs, upstairs boasts 2nd bedroom with two single beds and ensuite, fully equipped kitchen/dining area, and lounge room with a DVD player.

Above rates are for room only. Extra person/s cost $25.00 each per night using existing bedding.
Breakfast is available: Continental $17.50 per person, or Full English $22.50 per person.
Charsfield Restaurant on site.
Secure off-site car parking is available for $15.00 per night.

Further away

If you need to do your own search for more accommodation options, you may find a map of Melbourne tram routes helpful. Accommodation providers within a short walking distance from the tram routes along High Street, Prahran or St Kilda Road would be good choices. The tram stop at the intersection of St Kilda Road and High Street is the closest to the Conference Venue. From there, it is a 330 m walk to the Sebel Abert Park.
