Professional Experience

Dr Parnell has over 30 years experience in research, extension and application of technology in the beef industry. He was previously the Research Leader for Beef Genetics & Improvement within the NSW Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI) where his primary research interest was in developing new genetic technology for the improvement of feed efficiency and maternal productivity.

Dr Parnell also previously led the "Innovation Adoption Program" for the Co-operative Research Centre for Beef Genetic Technologies, based at the University of New England, Armidale.
