Professional Experience
Kathryn was recently appointed as a postdoctoral fellow in quantitative genetics with the University of Melbourne. She is currently working on an Australian Research Council Discovery Grant titled 'Why is most of the genetic variance of complex traits undetected by large powerful screens of common variants?' Prior to completing her PhD, she was employed by the South Australian Research and Development Institute on a project investigating selection methods for Merino sheep. Kathryn's research interests include the genetics of complex traits, particularly for disease and disease resistance in livestock.
